My current settings are on 128mb, I read someplace that rising the IGD DVMT memory will improve graphics overall performance. Is this correct?? Will this boost gaming efficiency??
I have 4gb of RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66ghz. I require some info on this IGD (Integrated Graphics Device) DVMT(Dynamic Video Memory Technology.) memory and the consequences of fiddling with it.

No, it wouldn’t really support unless youre obtaining a certain error message about insufficient video memory. Allocating much more could solve that, but not considerably else.
Further video memory basically allows screen updates take place smoothly at increased resolutions, it does not influence the operating speed of the GPU. And in any occasion, memory cannibalized from your method RAM is generally much slower than committed video memory anyway.
For desktops, the answer is to install a good dedicated graphics card to substitute the integrated graphics. For laptops, you happen to be rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
